Welcome to Landon by the Sea! Landon is a set of four townhomes set on the gulf in Miramar Beach, adjacent to Destin, with over 100 feet of beach at your door. We stayed at Landon during the 2009/2010 season and we loved it so much we decided to buy it!
Location
We feel it has the best location in Destin; that’s why we bought it! It is located on Scenic Highway 98 and is on the beach. This area, between the central part of Destin and the factory outlet mall, is much less congested and much quieter than the central part of Destin. It is between Pompano Joe’s and The Whale’s Tail restaurants, both of which can be walked to without ever leaving the sand. It is also within a five minute drive of groceries, fine wine stores and shopping, so you can stock up on supplies and get back to the emerald water. Across the street is a walking/bicycle trail, and within a block are a few small shops including a coffee shop, beach supply store, and bicycle/scooter rental which also sells fishing bait and supplies.
At Landon, just walk out the back door and onto the sand. It is away from the crowded megaplexes and you’ll find it refreshing not having to weave between umbrellas to stake out a space. At night it seems that the stars are only above Landon by the Sea since the larger complexes and their lights are far enough away. Parking is very convenient. Simply park your car in front of your door, unload your groceries and just keep your car there until you’re ready to hit the town.
The Townhomes
Most Landon guests are looking to upgrade from a condo building, but avoid the cost of a private home. Condos are the cheapest lodging option, but with condo's come huge parking lots, long walks to elevators with suitcases/groceries, kids with those floating noodles wacking you in the elevator, and hundreds of people usually on a small section of beach (you get the point). Private homes are the nicestest option, but very expensive (the home next to us rents for $6500 week in the summer).
Landon is a Gulf front town home (not a condo), with no one living above or below you. The beach is at your door. Landon has Kaba touch key pads installed, so there is no long drive to pick up keys. Simply drive to the generous parking lot, walk three steps and you're in the kitchen. We have been renovating the townhomes and giving them all a facelift since buying them in 2010. All the units have all new bedding, pillows, shower curtains, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, and appliances. All units have new HD flat screen televisions and DVD players. All townhomes are two levels with a kitchen, dining area, half bath with washer/dryer and living area on the first floor. The upstairs has two spacious bedrooms each with a private bath and vaulted ceilings. The guest bedrooms vary slightly in bed configuration which are described below. All master bedrooms have a king bed with master balcony overlooking the gulf and all living rooms have a queen sleeper sofa.
Unit #1
New granite countertops in the kitchen and a new stackable washer and dryer. It has one king bed in both the master and guest bedroom.
Unit #2
New granite countertops in the kitchen, has a king in the master, a king size bed and a set of bunk beds in the guest bedroom.

Unit #4
Unit four was not previously on the rental program prior to our purchase. It has Travertine tile throughout the townhome, new kitchen cabinets and granite countertops, and all new appliances. It also has a shower on the first floor. Both upstairs bathrooms have been remodeled with the master having a separate corner air tub and walk in shower. The gulf front porch is screened in.
All the units have had all gulf facing windows and doors replaced with larger windows giving an even larger view of the emerald water and white sand. All entry doors on both levels (front and back) and all windows in the building have been replaced and are FL hurricane approved.
The townhomes are very comfortable with room to spread out and relax. Come see why Landon by the Sea is the best spot to call home in Destin.

Gulf Front
Landon townhomes are on the beach (check out the pictures). It's surprising how many other listings turn out to be, "just a few steps from the beach", "just across the street", "water view" (the bay or gulf?, the gulf if you lean far enough out the side window). Landon not only is on the beach, but you can sit on the gulf front porch, keep an eye on and hear family at the beach. You can't stay any closer to the emerald gulf water.
